It’s time to build a better, more inclusive home for the outdoors. We’ve identified a handful of critical initiatives in 2020/21 that will enable us to get there sooner rather than later.
This 6-month paid program is open to all outdoor-focused writers from historically underrepresented and marginalized communities. We're prioritizing featuring the work of our industry's underrepresented communities because we need to do a better job of elevating and amplifying their voices.
Last year we produced four films in our #EveryoneOutside Film Series. We featured the stories of Nailah Blades, Jess Sporte, Chris Hill, and Teresa Baker and a group of amazing outdoor leaders. We were fortunate to have multiple films selected for MountainFilm, 5Point Film Festival, and the Banff Film Festival, reaching tens of thousands of people.
We will continue to tell beautiful, important stories that elevate athletes and leaders from marginalized communities who challenge the antiquated concepts of belonging in the outdoors.
The #EveryoneOutside Film Series is presented by HOKA. With additional support from Kampgrounds of America, Visit Florida, and our Industry Partners.

Our new Community Advisor program will consist of a handful of outdoor leaders, athletes, and advocates from historically excluded groups. This group will work directly with our founders to help steward our community development, partnership, and content strategy and initiatives. We are excited to have Teresa Baker, Founder of the Outdoor CEO Diversity Pledge, as our first Community Advisor.
